Future Position: Supply Chain Coordinator
Opportunity for a motivated self-starter to develop supply chain execution within Osborne Wood Products. The scope of this role encompasses the creation of the product to the placement of the product on warehouse shelves. The successful applicant will improve inventory minimum / maximum levels and execute buying activity with established U.S. and international suppliers while proactively interacting with the 18 percent of the product manufactured locally. In addition, this role will work with carriers to ensure on-time delivery. Collaboration with in-house programmers to develop supply chain functionality is a key component of building sustainable processes.
+ Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering
+ APICS, CPSM or similar certification
+ Proficiency with using various computer software such as Microsoft Excel or PowerPoint
+ Experience with ERP systems and the ability to quickly learn other software programs
+ Ability to multi-task within a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
+ Strong mathematical and analytical skills
+ Substantial organizational skills
+ Effective communication skills?both written and verbal
+ Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
+ Competence in defining, developing, and documenting business processes
+ Detail-oriented

Activities will include but are not limited to:
+ Purchasing and ensuring the availability of the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price in correct amounts
+ Preparing purchase orders, soliciting bid proposals (including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs), and reviewing requisitions for goods and services
+ Identifying, evaluating, and selecting vendors/suppliers based on key measures such as vendor capability, price, quality, product requirements, and supplier reputation
+ Analyzing price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices
+ Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations (OSHA, DOT, Import/Export)
+ Negotiating, renegotiating, and administering contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives
+ Monitoring shipments to ensure that goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods
+ Conferring with internal stakeholders (Production, Shipping/Receiving, and Product Development), users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and administer corrective action
+ Evaluating and monitoring vendor performance on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and taking corrective action when necessary
+ Maintaining and reviewing computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories
+ Working with international carriers to optimize routing and minimize transportation costs while supporting on-time delivery of product
+ Obtaining the appropriate Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for applicable items being purchased and ensuring that they are kept on file
+ Coordinating with Production and Shipping/Receiving for the preparation of the ongoing demand forecast
+ Supporting existing procurement processes, collaborating internally and externally to improve processes, and documenting process improvements
+ Ability to travel 15 percent of the year

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
