Curriculum Specialist

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Curriculum Specialist (CS) to join the Learning & Performance team to support our organization. We are looking for someone who has experience in all facets of training; design, development and delivery of subject matter. This position competently creates engaging learning activities and compelling course content, works with subject matter experts to identify target audience training needs, and applies tested instructional design theories (ADDIE/SAM), practices and methods.
In addition to content design, the Curriculum Specialist will be responsible for loading, tracking and testing content into the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensuring the operational performance and maintenance of the client portal.
Responsibilities Include:
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and learning transfer
Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience training needs
State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
Conduct research and analysis
Apply instructional design theories, practices and methods
Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
Create and develop assessment instruments to determine skills after training
Maintain project documentation and course folders in LMS
Load, Update and Remove LMS content to maintain relevancy
Recognize and resolve issues that may appear when it comes to course design, configuration or infrastructure
Make sure that the LMS works properly daily
Work directly with LMS vendor/HCM teams to quickly resolve unexpected errors
Work directly with Learning and Performance team to collaborate on training needs, projects and strategy.
Help with learner issues
Provide customized reporting
Update system to include any enhancements
Work directly with Instructional Designer and/or Project Manager to build training on changes and/or enhancements within the LMS
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or related learning fields preferred
Knowledge of adult learning theory and practice
Experience in design systems; Articulate Storyline, Captivate, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media & Audio
3+ years of experience in training delivery
3+ years of experience in curriculum design
Strong written and oral communication skills
Limited domestic travel may be required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
